"Not what you do, but how you do what you do determines whether you are fulfilling your destiny."
Eckhart Tolle
Our inner world is like roots beneath the soil — unseen, yet shaping everything we are.
We shape our lives every single day. Living creatively isn’t about what you do, but about the intention you bring to it. When we act with presence, vision, care, and love, something shifts. That’s why we’re moved by film characters, by athletes giving their all, or by people who devote themselves to something larger than their own story. We recognize that force, that longing to make a difference—because it lives in all of us.
Think back to moments when someone went beyond their “role.” Maybe they touched you, showed unexpected kindness, or simply radiated joy. I’ll never forget a street cleaner in Ponta Delgada, Azores. He swept the streets while singing, glowing with happiness. He wasn’t just cleaning—he was bringing life to the streets. And I’ve also met the opposite: people stuck in resistance, carrying frustration that affected everyone around them.
I’ve lived both sides myself. Resistance—when I felt I was in the “wrong” place, cut off from flow and my inner energy. And flow—those moments of pure presence and joy in the simplest acts, no matter the task. Sometimes our detours are really invitations to find our way home.
One of my bigger turning points—and a deeper understanding of intention and inner connection—came when I was working at a cemetery. Around me, the atmosphere was often heavy and turbulent, yet the place itself was rich with nature and spirit. There, in the space between outer chaos and inner stillness, I managed to create my own room. A room of clarity and imagination, a doorway into another world that gave me a deeper sense of belonging. Life often gives us exactly the conditions we need, even if they don’t arrive the way we expect. That stillness, contrasted with the turmoil around me, gave me strength, direction, and a renewed closeness to everything alive.
It’s never about the role—whether you’re gardening, working at a register, or standing behind a camera capturing a vast natural scene. What matters is the energy and intention you bring. The quality of life isn’t defined by titles or tasks, but by the presence and essence you choose to live from. And it’s never too late to shift—every day, every second offers new opportunities to adjust your intention, your energy, and the way you see yourself. New chances to shape the person you want to be. True creativity and meaning grow from within—from accepting where you are, who you are—and choosing to create flow from there. When you live this truth, everything changes.
And still, it’s never something that happens once and for all. It’s a continuous practice—reminding yourself of who you are and the energy you want to bring into the world. Not a quick fix. A way of living where life itself feels more like an ally than an opponent.
If you’d like a gentle reminder of your own energy and creative flow, I’ve created a guide: Create from Within – A Gentle Guide to More Presence and Creative Flow.

All creation starts from within. What is art without the artist, without the feeling and intention behind it? Technique is secondary—the emotion is what makes it resonate. Start creating your life from the inside out.
